Japanese Sashiko Samplers

I'm thoroughly enjoying my foray into Japanese sashiko. I've been working on very small samplers (6x6 squares)

At this point, I'm creating the patterns on my computer, following the book I purchased from Upcycle Stitches -- a Japanese sashiko pattern book.

Once I have it created, I'm able to scale & print it out for my particular needs. Right now, i'm using Google Draw to create a grid that I use for the pattern

For example:

I print those out, and trace them onto the fabric using a portable light table.

I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with all of the squares -- a blanket, maybe? or a dinner mat? But I'm really enjoying these bite-size samples of different sashiko patterns.
